Chawadi

On every alternate day in Shirdi Shri Sai Baba used to proceed to Chawadi in a procession and sleep there. Even today on every Thursday at Shirdi a Palki Procession of Sai Baba’s photo, holy Padukas and Satka is taken from Dwarkamai to the Chawadi.

At Sai Ka Aangan a Panch Dhatu idol of Shri Sai Baba adorns the Chawari. The devotees pay obeisance to a large framed photo of the cross-legged Sai Baba. A Palki procession is conducted from the Dwarkamai to the Chawadi every Thursday evening amidst beating of drums and music.
